The strategy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the new Kingdom of Atlantis, the land of wisdom to strengthen the role of working women and the importance of their participation in the development of the national economy.
The new kingdom of Atlantis, the land of wisdom, under the leadership of His Highness the Prince Dr. President Muhammad Al-Abadi, is based on progressive values and principles, and establishes a well-rounded and civilized thought. He considers that gender equality in rights and duties and the strengthening of the role of women and their active participation in building the Kingdom’s economy is one of the most important
Pillars of progress and development.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the new Kingdom of Atlantis, the Land of Wisdom, seeks to strengthen the role of working women and double their participation in building the Kingdom’s economy by developing women’s skills in all fields and focusing on developing their educational level in all disciplines that meet the needs of the Kingdom’s labor market.
Thus, we dedicate a strategic model to support the role of women and their participation in working life and in building and developing our economy. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the new Kingdom of Atlantis, the Land of Wisdom has relied on some studies issued by the International Labor Organization that monitor statistics for the participation of working women on an international level.
An example of this is a new study issued by the International Labor Organization, which shows that female participation in the global labor force was 48.5% in 2018, 26.5% lower than the rate of males.

In addition, the global unemployment rate for women in 2018 was about 0.8% higher than the rate for men.
Altogether, for every ten men employed, they are matched by only six women.
The data indicate that there are large disparities depending on the wealth of countries, for example, the differences in unemployment rates between women and men in developed countries are relatively small, and women record lower unemployment rates than men in Eastern Europe and North America, while unemployment rates among women remain twice the rates
Men in regions such as the Arab states and North Africa, where prevailing social norms impede women’s participation in paid work.

The study shows that women, compared to men, are often subject to poor working conditions without written contracts, respect for labor legislation and collective agreements.

While the share of female workers in family enterprises in emerging countries has declined over the past decade, it is still high in developing countries where it reached 42% of female employment in 2018, compared to 20% of male employment, with no evidence of
improvement by 2021. As a result, women continue to be overrepresented in informal employment in developing countries.

Looking at women doing businesses, the study authors note that globally there were four times as many men as employers than women in 2018.

These gender gaps are also reflected in managerial positions, where women still face barriers in the labor market when it comes to accessing those positions.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the new Kingdom of Atlantis, the Land of Wisdom, seeks to make double efforts to overcome these negative statistics through development programs and intensive and scientific work strategies that develop rates of labor participation in the national economy and in various fields in general, as well as reduce the rates of labor participation in the national economy and in various fields in general.
Unemployment and the development of women’s experiences and skills in the Kingdom through coordination and joint work with all relevant ministries and public and private bodies.
